Telephone Talk
Sophia Komor, Ina Scheffler

Helen:    Hello?
Paula:    Hi, it's me.
Helen:    What a surprise, I didn't expect you to call today. How are you?
Paula:    Fine, thanks. We gotta talk about the trip to Ireland.
Helen:    Oh, right. I totally forgot about that. Did you start planning anything?
Paula:    First of all: what about Lalo?
Helen:    He stays here. This problem is solved.
Paula:    Great. So we'll go via train to Brussels and then catch a plane to Dublin.
               If that's okay with you.
Helen:    Shall we meet in Cologne then? I guess it's the easiest way of getting together for both of                us.
Paula:    That's fine with me. So that would be the 2nd of Feb. The train's gonna leave at two past                two, track 8.
Let's meet at the service point in the main hall at, let's say 1.30, allright?
Helen:    Done. Did you talk to Mom recently?
Paula:    Nope. Did you?
Helen:    Hell, what are we going to do? I can't stand her attitude. I don't know whether I should make                a start or leave it up to her. I hate these kinds of breakdowns. I really don't know what to do.                Dilemma.
Paula:    Let's make the trip and maybe the two of you will find a way to get together again.                Because I think it's really important for Lalo, too. By the way, how is he?
Helen:    Oh, he is well again. He had a little cold. Yeah, you're right. It's really a shame. But I am so                confused, dunno what to do. How are your studies, girl?
Paula:    Going allright. Speaking of going: d'you know what I saw today? I got up very early and went                 jogging and I was really deep in thought. But something caught my attention. There was a                young woman sitting on a window-sill, staring in the cup she was holding. She looked kind                of sad. I was really touched because ..... well, I don't know, it was not just the usual kind of                November or autumn depression. She just looked really really distracted. Weird
Helen:    Crazy world, poor thing. Gosh, everybody looks so sad these days. I don't really have time                to be sad, too many things to do. Right now I'm somehow looking forward to our lilly trip.
Paula:    Okay, see ya in Cologne. Got that?
Helen:    In Cologne, Crocodile. Have a nice time. Bye.
Paula:    You too. Bye.
