Tom took the train to the station. As he got out, he looked up and saw the statue of Hercules in the distance, clothed in a veil of morning mist. He went straight to platform 2 and waited for Jenny Herz to arrive. The hands of the station clock moved forward, tirelessly. No sight of Jenny. Tom began to get impatient. "Where on earth has she got to this time?" he thought to himself. "Any minute now and than the trainīll be here. No sign of her. Thank godness she reserved some seats for us." The train rolled in to platform 2. Tom boarded the train. The hands of the clock moved on.
